9 transgender entrepreneurs get grants

Nine transgender entrepreneurs were awarded  business grants by Bandhu Social Welfare Society and the National Human Rights Commission yesterday at the capital's NHRC conference hall for their exceptional entrepreneurial drive.

Presided over by Shale Ahmed, executive director at Bandhu, the event was addressed among others by Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, chairman, NHRC; Dr Md Moktar Hossain and Dr Saima Khan.
