2 trains collide at Rajshahi Railway station

Banglabandha Express and Dhumketu Express collided at Rajshahi Railway Station this afternoon.
However, no casualties were reported as no passengers were on board on either train, said Rajshahi Railway Station Master Moin Uddin Azad.
According to railway officials, the accident took place around 3:00pm when one of the trains was heading to the washpit for cleaning while the other was standing on the same track.
Due to the collision, two boggies of each train were damaged.
Although no injuries were reported, the incident may cause schedule disruptions for several trains, including the Dhalarchar Express going towards Pabna, they said.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, and efforts are underway to clear the affected track to restore normal railway operations, the railway officials added.
