Action to be taken against irregularities
Education Minister A S H K Sadique yesterday stressed the need for making madrassah education time befitting in the era of science and technology of the twenty-first century, reports BSS.
Speaking at a gathering of the leaders of Jamiatul Modaresin in the city, Sadique said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not do politics by capitalising religion.
He assured the leaders of Jamiatul Modaresin that actions would be taken against irregularities, corruption and harassment at the Madrassah Board.
Leaders of Jamiatul Modaresin said madrassah teachers want to get rid of anti-liberation forces and added a vested quarter is out to trade on religion.
The function was addressed, among others, by Moulana Abdul Hamid, Moulana Delwar Hossain and former student leader Ismat Kadir Gama.
