Workshop on Tagore songs in Barisal

A two-day long Rabindra Sangeet training workshop was inaugurated at BNDN auditorium in the city on July 10.
The programme was arranged by Jatio Rabindra Sangeet Sammilon Parishad Barisal branch to spread the practice and propagate the thematic aspects of Tagore songs.
Nikhil Sen, cultural personality of the city inaugurated the programme presided over by Nazrul Islam Chunnu, president of the JRSSP Barisal.
A total of 122 Tagore singers of the region participated at the workshop, said Shamima Masud Munni, secretary of JRSSP Barisal and Biswajit Sengupta, secretary of the programme committee. Tagore singers Lily Islam and Tapan Bhattacharya participated as trainers.
