Road crashes kill 4
Four people were killed in separate road accidents in Narayanganj, Manikganj and Rajshahi yesterday.
Our correspondent in Narayanganj reports: Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Ashuat under Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj yesterday.
The dead were identified as Sunder Ali, 60 and Amir Hossain, 30. Sunder Ali works as security personnel at a tower of a mobile phone company.
The accident occurred when a Narsingdi-bound truck hit a rickshaw coming from opposite direction.
The bodies have been sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
Our Correspondent in Manikganj reports: One person was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Paturia highway at Arpara under Shivalaya Police Station in Manikganj yesterday.
The identity of victim could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident occurred at around 11:00am when a Paturia-bound bus ran over the man aged about 45.
Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee.
UNB form Rajshahi adds: A man was crushed under the wheels of a trolley, a local human hauler, near Uzalkhulshi union parishad office under Durgapur upazila in Rajshahi yesterday morning.
Local sources said a trolley hit Osman, 50, when he was going to a local bazar at about 7:00am leaving him seriously injured.
Osman succumbed to his injuries on way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
On information, police recovered the body and sent for autopsy.
