Aupi Karim is a dedicated artiste on TV, on stage and also a passionate dancer. In her recent interview with The Daily Star, she shared her experience working with different co-actors, and her fascination towards dance.
Having worked in innumerable TV plays with an impressive cast of TV artistes, Aupi Karim said that her share of experience with them has been quite pleasant. This is what she had to say about few of her co- artistes:
Mahfuz Ahmed: I have had the opportunity to act with Mahfuz in several TV plays. The audience seems to like our pairing, and on-screen we share a good chemistry. I have very good understanding with him, and it is always great to work with him.
Anisur Rahman Milon: Milon and I have worked in plays such as Doyeeta. During a particular hectic shooting schedule, I remember we took turns to pacify each other; having worked for longs hours we were in quite a fit. I am very comfortable working with Milon, and the best quality in him is his punctuality. Time maintenance is extremely important is professional career.
Musharraf Karim: It was quite an experience working with him. He is an extremely fun-loving person, very sweet and an immensely talented actor of our industry. I consider myself lucky to have worked with Musharraf.
Hillol: Although we have not worked in too many plays, the audience has accepted our pairing quite positively. He is very comfortable to work with and a very humble person.
Aupi Karim made her debut into the art scene at a young age. However, when asked about which she enjoys doing most- acting or anchoring-she quite modestly answered, “dancing”. The actress was trained in classical dance. But one might wonder why then she is not seen dancing too often. To this she responded, “It often happens that the organisers of a programme offer me to perform with artistes, such as upcoming models. It is quite sad, when having dedicated so much of my effort and time on this art, we are placed on the same platform and acknowledged with the same respect and recognition.”
Karim considers herself to be only 10 percent successful, and believes she has not yet reached the position where she can offer guidelines or advice to upcoming artistes. “I do not have the aptitude to judge others' works. However, I feel artistes of our country are very talented and everyone should just focus on their career and live honestly,” she concluded.
