Execute verdict of Bangabandhu murder case

Rajshahi University (RU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday observed a token hunger in front of the university central library demanding execution of the verdict of Bangabandhu Murder Case, campus sources said.
This was followed by a meeting where BCL leaders blamed the former BNP-Jamaat Alliance government for protecting the killers of Bangabandhu and called upon the caretaker government for execution of the verdict. They further said the BNP-Jamaat axis is creating an obstacle so that the verdict is not executed. They threatened a tougher agitation if the verdict is not executed without further delay.
Later, former RU students' advisor Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan Sajal broke the hunger strike by giving juice to the BCL men.
Amra Muktijoddhar Santan, an organisation of sons and daughters of freedom fighters, expressed solidarity with the BCL programme.
