Youth beaten to death

A youth was beaten to death at Rahamatpur residential area in the district town on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Musa, 24, son of Sirajul Islam.
Witnesses said Musa went to buy a coil from a local tea stall on credit.
An altercation ensued when tea seller Bashir refused to give him coil.
At one stage, Bashir's brother Nasir, Mohsin and Mamun swooped on Musa with sticks and beat him up mercilessly, leaving him seriously injured.
Local people first took him to Sadar Hospital where his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka.
