The “International Migrants Day-2012” was observed with various programmes in Chittagong city yesterday.
The day-long progarmme started with a colourful procession that paraded from Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh to Shilpakala Academy in the port city.
Later, a discussion was held at the Shilpakala Academy. With Chittagong District Employment and Manpower Office assistant director Jahirul Alam in the chair, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chittagong Abdul Mannan addressed, as chief guest, the discussion.
