The chronicles of Nayeem

Nayeem is an actor and model to watch for.
He began his acting career with a role in a one-hour play “Nijhum Oronyo”, directed by Rumana Rashid Ishita, which was aired way back in 2007. His first TV commercial was for Meril petroleum jelly directed by Amitabh Reza. Both performances caught the audience's attention.
Currently he is a familiar face in the Hen branded tin commercial. Nayeem embarked on his journey in the media as TV show host for “I Speed” that was aired on Channel i.
However, Nayeem is determined to climb the ladder of success as a top-ranking actor. He is preparing for this and is very selective in the choice of his future projects. He believes that choosing a good story as well as a unique character will pave the way for success.
Several TV serials, featuring Nayeem, are being aired on different TV channels, namely: “Rupkotha”, “Ochena Protibimbo”, “Apon Apon Khela” and “Terminal”. Those that wrapped up recently are Shahiduzzaman Selim's “Samantha”, Rahmatullah Tuhin's “Shokaler Phool” and Rajib's “No Man's Land”.
Nayeem says, “The plays that finished airing recently helped me make my mark as an actor. Besides, Shihab Shahin's mega serial 'It Kather Khancha' which was aired two years back is another milestone for me. Both Kowshik Shankar Das' 'Bondhutto Bhalobasha Ityadi', and Aka Reza Galib's 'Tobuo Bhalobashi' have won accolades.”
Last week Nayeem returned to Dhaka after wrapping up shooting for “Kortakahini” directed by Aronno Anowar.
At present Nayeem is busy with Eid projects. He has completed shooting for Fahmida Irfan's “Ohon Chhayar Kabyo” with Richi Solaiman as his co-actor. The shooting of Aryan's “Megh Brishti Otohpor” has also finished. Nayeem's co-actor is Bidya Sinha Meem. Two more projects that have been completed are Din Mohammad Montu's “Grihobondi” and Rubel's “Tomar Onno Nam” where Jenny and Lux Superstar Mashiyat are his co-actors respectively.
Nayeem says, “I am shooting almost every day for my upcoming Eid projects. Among these, the story of 'Grihobondi' is really wonderful. The playwright is Matia Banu Shuku.” He also added that he would start work on a new drama directed by Ishita.
Nayeem is also working in films. One of his films has already been released. Now he has begun to work in “Bhalobashar Rongdhonu”, directed by Nabil Ashraf. The shooting for the songs has been completed. In this movie, Nayeem's co-actors are Achol and Anne. Nayeem says, “This is a triangular love story. Personally I am very hopeful about this project. And if the audience demands, then I will continue acting in cinema and in drama simultaneously.”
Nayeem is a student of English Literature. He opines that his keen interest in the media has helped him realise his ambitions.
