3 of a family die in Ctg road crash

Three people of a family were killed and three others injured as a bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Chittagong-Dhaka Highway in Mirsarai Bazar area yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Liton, 35, his wife Nasima, 27, and their two-year-old son Raihan. Another son of the deceased couple Rakib, 6, was also injured in the accident.
Liton was driving the CNG-run auto-rickshaw with his family members towards their home at Baro Awlia under Sitakunda Police Station of Chittagong from his in-law's home at Mirsarai, police said.
Two other injured--Amir Hossain, and Nuruzzaman were passengers of the bus. The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Sources said around 2:15pm, a Noakhali-bound bus rammed the auto-rickshaw and fell into a pond beside the road.
Police seized the bus.
Our correspondent from Thakurgaon reports: A helper of a tractor driver was killed and the driver and another helper were injured as it fell into a roadside ditch at Sardrpara village in sadar upazila of Panchagarh early yesterday.
Moksedul, 30, of Khulishakuri village under Thakurgaon sadar uapzila, died instantly.
