Bangla Wikipedia Unconference begins in Ctg

For the first time in the country, a two-day programme, "Bangla Wikipedia Unconference 2012", began at Independent University Bangladesh, (IUB) Chittagong yesterday.
The unconference campaigns on the slogan "Aamar bhashay tule dhari, aamar bhalo lagar sab kichhu" (let's present whatever we like in our own language).
With the aim to highlight the history and culture of Bangladesh in Bangla, it is featuring quiz competition, open discussion, workshop, open seminar, and film show.
Chittagong city Mayor Mohammad Manjur Alam inaugurated the programme jointly organised by IUB, Wikimedia, and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN).
State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman and noted author Prof Muhammad Zafar Iqbal are scheduled to attend the programme today.
