Three DB police arrested with phensidyl

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three policemen of Detective Branch of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police with 954 bottles of Phensidyl at Bheripara in the town yesterday.
Acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force led by Executive Magistrates Md Alamgir Kabir and Mobasserul Haque arrested the three constables of DB along with their auto bike driver Saiful Islam in East Raypara area around 2:40am.
The arrested cops -- Md Siddikul Islam, 35, Md Abdus Samad, 33, and Lalon Mahmud, 27, were selling Phensidyl in different parts of the city.
A case has been filed with Rajpara Police Station in this connection and the arrested persons were sent to jail at noon, police said.
