Recitation programme on Liberation War

To mark 40 years of independence, Baikuntha Abriti Academy, a troupe of elocutionists, in association with Bangladesh Sammilito Sangskritik Jote and Bangladesh Abriti Shamannay Parishad, hosted a solo performance by noted elocutionist Shimul Mustapha. The event was held on December 9 at Rabindra Sarobar, Dhanmondi, in Dhaka.
Under the title “Aposh Korini Kokhonoi Ami Ei Holo Itihash”, the recital featured a total of 71 selected poems on the theme, Liberation War.
Mustapha started with reciting Shamsur Rahman's “Shadhinota Tumi”. He recited selected poems of -- Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Jasimuddin, Jibanananda Das, Abu Zafar Obaidullah, Nirmelendu Goon, Mahadev Saha and others.
