Sub-inspector Md Kafil Uddin, nayek Wahed Ali and constable Md Shafiqul Islam of Dhalarchar police camp were gunned down by the cadres of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP-red flag) on July 20.
The PBCP men made the attack on four unarmed cops when they went to buy firewood from a place in the area at around 4:00pm.
Kafil, Wahed and Shafiqul died on the spot while Rashidul Islam escaped the attack. He filed the case with Bera police station the following day.
