Pry terminal exams begin tomorrow
The primary terminal examinations 2011 for class V students of general and madrasa education begin tomorrow with over 26 lakh examinees.
Around 23.16 lakh general and 3.44 lakh madrasa students will take the examinations. Last year the total number of examinees was 25.88 lakh.
The challenged students will get 15 minutes additional time for writing their answer scripts.
The examinations, which will take place at 6,168 centres across the country and eight centres abroad, end on November 30.
This year the results would be published in grading system in conformity with other public examination results.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Afsarul Ameen will brief journalists about the overall preparation for holding of the examinations at his ministry at 11:00am today.
On the basis of the results, scholarships will be equally distributed to male and female students under talent-pool and general categories.
The students of class V must qualify terminal examinations to enrol in class VI.
