Tonight the stars
Tonight the stars descended on my bed
Brightening it up
Ushering in the moon to bathe me in its
Shine
Adorning me to meet you
In sweet slumber
I dreamt and someone stepped on my dreams
Shattering it into a thousand pieces
Wasn't it you who picked them up with your lashes
Conjuring it up into a wonderful fantasy?
O my precious bard!
Do take a shape and complete my dreams
Dreamer they call me though
Embracing sweet slumber, only to dream
Will your drowsy eyes be the companion to
My desultory, sleepless nights?
There will only be whispers between us
Our hearts will converse through songs
Nightlong we will only dream
Dancing through the green meadows
Lost in the ecstasy of the grasses
Rising up in thrill
Sunset will bring us a garland of firefly lamps
The gentle breeze, the listless sound . . .
When you are laconic
Countless strings merge with your silence
The entire galaxy remains hushed!
So gather the melodies and swing
For the earth trembles at your feet
The birds keep awake on the branches
Undulating waves dance on the waters
Today no one sleeps …
Remember you are my centuries-old dream
--- And the longing of my heart
