Road crashes kill 3
Three people were killed and 40 others injured in separate road accidents in Satkhira and Faridpur.
Our Faridpur correspondent reports: At least two people were killed and 40 others injured in separate road accidents at Sadar and Bhanga upazila in the district yesterday.
The deceased are Moslem Uddin Sheikh, 50, an employee of Faridpur Sugar Mill and also a resident of Aliabad of Sadar upazila and Manik Kha, 80, of Chowki Ghata of Bhanga upazila.
Police said Moslem Uddin was killed when a bus turned up side down as its diver lost his control over the steering at Sadar upazila, leaving 40 persons injured.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals and clinics in the town.
Manik Kha was killed as a motorcycle hit him in Bogail area of Bhanga upazila, police said.
Our Satkhira correspondent says: A woman was killed on the spot when a Satkhira-bound bus hit her while she was sitting near a tea stall beside the Satkhira-Jessore road at Kalaroa upazila in the district yesterday.
The deceased is Amena Khatun, 53, of village Ganapatipur in Kalaroa.
