Fugitive convict arrested

Bogra Dhupchachia police in a drive arrested a fugitive convict at Sheikhpura village in Naogaon Sadar early Saturday. The arrestee was identified as Sekandar Ali alias Seken, 48, son of late Asiruddin of Zianagar Balukapara village in Dupchachia upazila. Police said Seken was sentenced to 32 years imprisonment in murder and robbery cases in absentia 12 years ago. To avoid arrest Seken constructed a house in Sheikhpura village and started living there since long. Acting on secret information, Dhupchachia police raided his house late at night and arrested him.
