Nationwide release of 'Guerrilla' today

Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu's much anticipated movie "Guerrilla" is being released at 13 movie theatres across the country today.
The movie had its premiere at Balaka Cinema Hall in the city on Tuesday. The premiere saw a host of cultural personalities, including Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Limited and Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor, Syed Salah Uddin Zaki and the film director as well as its cast and crew.
"Guerrilla" narrates the gripping tale of Bilkis (played by Joya Ahsan) whose husband disappears as the Liberation War breaks out. As the war progresses, Bilkis finds herself being drawn to the freedom movement. She starts actively collaborating with the freedom fighters, hoping for the safe return to her husband.
Apart from Joya Ahsan, ATM Shamsuzzaman, Ferdous, Pijush Bandyopadhaya, Jayasri Kar, Shompa Reza and Shotabdi Wadud have played other major roles.
Actor and musician Shimul Yousuf has directed music for the film. "Guerrilla" is an adaptation of a Syed Shamsul Haque novel, "Nishiddho Loban". The film also incorporates personal experiences (during Liberation War) of Nasiruddin Yousuff. Arial Creative Space Ltd and Impress Telefilm Ltd have jointly produced "Guerrilla".
