'Try killers of Ovilash Chakma'

Indigenous students of Chittagong Hill Tracts yesterday staged a demonstration on the Dhaka University campus demanding immediate trial of the killers of Ovilash Chakma, a Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS) leader.
They also sought exemplary punishment of the attackers in connection with the killing and compensation to the victim's family.
Ovilash was gunned down at his home in Kallyanpur, Rangamati on Friday mid-night.
Pahari Chhatra Parishad blamed United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) for the killing of Ovilash as he left UPDF, urging the government to ban UPDF as a terrorist outfit.
