Zulfiqur made envoy to Turkey

Md Zulfiqur Rahman, director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed Bangladesh's Ambassador to Turkey.
A career diplomat Zulfiqur joined the Foreign Service in 1991. During his diplomatic career he has served in Bangladesh missions in New Delhi, New York (Permanent Mission), Manama and Los Angeles.
He has also represented Bangladesh at various international forums, including at the UN General Assembly.
