PUBALI BANK
The bank has said its third quarter unaudited net profit rose to Tk 1,414.63 million in September 2009 from Tk 1,219.96 million a year ago. It also reported a rise in its earnings per share (EPS) to Tk 37.01 from Tk 31.92 (restated) in the same period of the previous year.
APEX FOODS
The company has said its turnover stood at Tk 400.78 million with gross profit being Tk 46.34 million and net profit Tk 2.44 million. Its basic EPS was Tk 4.27 for the first quarter to September 30, 2009.
SHYAMPUR SUGAR
The company claimed a net loss of Tk 133.45 million in the year to June 30, 2009 from Tk 104.58 million a year earlier. EPS of the company stood at Tk (26.69), up from Tk (20.92) a year ago. Its accumulated loss was Tk (1,305.52) million on June 30, 2009.
GEMINI SEA FOOD
The company board has recommended 15 percent cash dividend for the year to September 30, 2009, it said. The AGM has been set for December 12, 2009 at 1.15pm at the factory premises, Jabusha, Rupsha in Khulna.
The company has also posted net profit of Tk 11.25 million with net asset value (NAV) at Tk (11.18) million and EPS at Tk 25.57 for the year to September 30, 2009. Its net operating cash flow per share was Tk 726.96 in the same period.
NORTHRN INSURANCE
The company said its unaudited net profit stood at Tk 25.05 million and EPS at Tk 14.52 in the third quarter to September 30, 2009. It however did not mention profit results in the same period a year ago.
RENWICK JAINESWAR
The company said its audited net profit increased to Tk 7.11 million in the year to June 2009 from Tk 6.16 million a year ago. The EPS grew to Tk 35.57 in the same period from Tk 30.79 at the end of June 2008. Its accumulated loss was Tk (74.72) million on June 30, 2009.
EASTRN LUBRICANTS
The company said it board recommended 25 percent cash dividend (Tk 2.50 per share) for 2008-2009. It set the AGM for January 30, 2010 at 11:30am at Padma Bhaban of Sadarghat in Chittagong.
PRIME INSURANCE
GQ Ball Pen Industries Ltd, one of the corporate sponsors/directors of the company, has reported its intention to sell 9,500 shares out of its total holdings of 19,500 shares in the company at market prices through Dhaka Stock Exchange in 30 workdays.
POPULAR LIFE INSURANCE
Md Rukunuddin Mollah, one of the sponsors of the company, has reported his intention to sell 3,000 shares out of his total holdings of 19,755 shares in the company at market prices through Dhaka Stock Exchange in 30 workdays.
