Fire breaks out in Ctg RMG factory

Valuables worth Tk 12 lakh were gutted in a fire at a garments factory here early hours of yesterday.
The fire broke out in the storehouse of M/s Joints Garments on the 3rd floor of a six-storied building near Muradpur intersection around 12.30am, said the sources at the Fire Service and Civil Defence. Huge of bundle of clothes were gutted in the fire.
Four fire fighting units from different fire stations rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze around 2.25am.
Fire service officials said the fire might have originated from the electric short circuit. The loss in the fire was estimated at Tk 12 lakh, they said.
