Road crash kills madrasa girl

Agitated madrasa students yesterday put up a blockade on Dhaka-Munshiganj highway for two hours and a half following the death of a madrasa girl in a road accident.
The student died on the spot when a minibus ran over her at Char Syedpur under Sadar upazila around 12:00pm while she was returning home with her younger brother Masum Billal.
The victim was identified as Madrasa student Naima, 6, daughter of Maulana Delwar Hossain of the same area.
The students of Char Syedpur Haji Ali Hossain Madrasa put up a blockade and vandalised four buses. Later, local people also joined them.
On information, Narayanganj model thana police came to the spot. They seized the killer bus, arrested its helper Farid. But the driver managed to flee.
