Topu’s Shey Ke? solo album now out

Much to the delight of Yaatri fans, "Shey Ke?" Topu's latest studio album -- featuring romantic tracks -- was released recently from G series. The album is the second solo by the artiste and Topu hopes to achieve the same kind of response his first solo "Meye" (2008) garnered.
Speaking about the album, Topu said, “Songs featured in my latest album are totally romantic, with hints of nostalgia.”
“The target audience is young people -- mainly university and college students, and their world,” said Topu.
The album contains ten tracks -- "Shey ke", "Jonmodin", "Tumi choley jao", "Bhalobashi", "Brishti", "Ekta gopon katha (RNB)", "Ami ke", "Bondhu", "Shesh dekha" and "Shada rang-er swapno". All songs have been written and composed by Topu. Music arrangement in the album has been done by Rafa, drummer of Aurthohin.
“If one listens to the album, (s)he might notice a sequence of stories narrated through the songs,” said Topu.
“The lyrics delve into love, love at first sight, experiences in a relationship, woes of break-up and so on,” explained the singer-musician.
“The songs -- 'Shey ke', 'Bhalobashi', 'Jonmodin', 'Tumi choley jao' and 'Ami ke' are connected to each other and I intend to make music videos of them in future.”
“Special attention has been given to maintain the quality of sound so that the listener can fully enjoy the instruments and vocals,” added Topu.
Talking about his future project, Topu said, “Currently I'm working on an album with my band and hope to release it by the end of the year.” This should be a good news for Yaatri fans.
