Viquarunnissa Noon School and College made a winning start in the 12th Delta Life Women's College Handball Competition with a 14-2 win over Holy Cross 'B' on the opening day of the meet at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex ground yesterday.
In other match of the day Holy Cross crushed Siddeshwari Girls College by 8-2 in the same venue.
Earlier Das Deb Prasad, the managing director of sponsor Delta Life Insurance, declared the meet open as the chief guest while deputy managing director Akram Hossain, Bangladesh Handball Federation vice president Principle Hamida Ali and general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were present among others.
