National Professor Anisuzzaman hospitalised

National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka this morning with underlying health conditions.

Dr Anisuzzaman is now undergoing treatment at the coronary care unit (CCU) of Universal Medical College Hospital on New Airport Road in the capital under the supervision of CCU Chief Prof Dr Khandaker Kamrul Islam.

"He has been suffering from multiple health complications. Our experts have examined him," Dr Asish Kumar Chakrabarty, managing director of the hospital, told The Daily Star this evening.

"He is in stable condition, but not out of danger," he added.
