Have you seen my City?
Last I saw it, it was lost
In a cloud of yellow dust
Of the wretched scum
and there rot
It's about ye big?
Thousands of years
Of culture buried under the death
Of innocent children trying to
find a way home?
I can't seem to find it
My city, had a life of its own
I would call it yellow city
Out of the love for lovely light
That Streets would wear
Under the neon sky at night.
The irony of it still echoes
In my head as
Ice caps melt faster
And my city is purged by the dust
As yellow as the false hood
That the news prints
About progress
As yellow as the bar that is
About to hit red for critical
I live here, day in and day out
But I can't find my City,
Have you seen it?
If you find it, keep it
Care for it, it's your city too.
