EXCERPTS | SOLO EXHIBITION BY ALIA KAMAL
Date: 10 November – 24 November
Time: 11AM- 10PM
Venue: Jatra Biroti, 60 Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani
For the first time the exhibition, Excerpts, will feature the painter's oil paintings, and oils alone. The works portray fragments of one's entire life — intimate moments, perhaps in the mundane or perhaps in silent crises. Inspired from conversations, thoughts and lived experiences, the artist attempts in various frames to make the 'personal' into 'universal.' Kamal's work has previously been shown at Dhaka Arts Centre, TEDxDhaka, Longitude Latitude 6, Mad Koffee 2.0, and the Milkshake Collective.
