style check

Azim Uddula

Model, Azim Uddula has carved a niche for himself, not just in the Bangladeshi fashion industry, but in India as well. His striking good looks and strong personality made him a style icon. In this interview, Azim talks about his style statement.

What is your style mantra?

I like clothes that are comfortable and chic. I feel confident in whatever I wear. I believe that this confidence comes from the work one does and their achievements.

Who are your favourite star icons in Bangladesh and Hollywood?

My star icon in Bangladesh is definitely Mahfuz Anam James. In case of Hollywood, I would say I am quite inspired by Brad Pitt.

Who is your favourite fashion designer?

I like quite a few fashion designers. But I would have to say that my favourite is the Italian fashion designer, Donatella Versace.

What is your regular everyday wear?

For everyday attire, I usually opt for t-shirts with joggers or trainers.

What is your general party wear like?

When I attend parties, I like to wear fitted jeans with short sleeves, and put on a pair of loafers.

What are your favourite accessories?

Wrist watches are definitely my favourite accessories.

What is a must have in your wardrobe?

Shoes, watches and sunglasses are a few accessories I always like to keep in my wardrobe.

What fashion trend do you dislike?

I'm not very keen on the hipster trend or the bushy beard look. Lumberjack shirts are also not my favourite.

What fashion trend would you say is your favourite?

I really like the high end sportswear trend. It is comfortable, but at the same time very stylish.

What would be a fashion message you would give to the readers?

My fashion message would be to follow the style that suits you best. It should look good on you while matching your personal preference. One should create their own look, not let different trends define it.
