Lipsticks for the olive toned

Finding the right shade of lipstick is easy- said no woman ever! Fair skinned girls are seen easily sporting the neons to neutrals, but the problem starts when they put on darker shades and olive toned ladies try neons. There is definitely a science behind it. And we are here to learn what that is.

Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Aston is by far the most perfect nude shade. The pinkish nude is flattering on people of all skin tones and shades, making it one of the most favoured lipstick for all girls with makeup know how. Even though it is a bit up there in price, but ABH has sales a few times a year, so you can easily get one for half the original price.

NYX lip lingerie in Exotic is by far one of the best shades too. The rich brownish shade can be worn with outfit of any colour. Not only is the shade perfect, but the price is also affordable.

Colourpop lippiestix in Ziggie can also be categorised a nude shade, but that depends on the skin tone. If you are a bit more on the darker side then you can slay it as a nude, but if you are a bit more on the lighter side, then this will be your go-to brown shade. The formula of the lippistix are to die for, they have a powder matte finish but do not dry out the lips.

What more can one ask for from a lipstick?

Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipstick in Lolita and Lolita II — these two are by far my favourites. Lolita is more of a pink nude, whereas the Lolita II is on the orange side. Their lightweight formulae are perfect for everyday use, and the best part is that you won’t even feel them on your lips.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Arriba is the red of your dreams. The red you imagine wearing when you think of wearing an all-black outfit, the one dreams are made of. Sometimes when you buy a red lipstick it never ends up looking good on you the way it does on the models, thatwon’t happen with this beauty. It has just the right amount of red, pink and orange pigment in it. The only drawback to this would be that it dries down in the tube, so you are going to have to add two drops of coconut oil to it after five or six months of use.

Jeffree Star Lip Ammo in Unicorn Blood is an amazing maroon shade, which does well with all skin tones and shades. But maroons look especially good on dusky skin than on the fair ones. And this lipstick is not only a great shade it is also very long lasting, even after you eat.

Sephora Collection Liquid Lipstick in Always Red is a shade I don’t see most people talk about. This too is actually a lot like the Arriba from Colourpop, but the only difference I found is the formula itself. Always Red is lightweight and feels like there is nothing on the lips, whereas Arriba is a lot heavier and opaque.

Every single one of these lipsticks has been tried and tested and the results are always identical. And every time I put these on myself, I feel confident and beautiful. Some of them might be a bit ‘up there’ in price, but you can never go wrong with these colours.

So, I guess for a stunning shade and gorgeous lips, price is not the primary concern!
