Dining at LongHorn Steak & Pizza

The rustic walls decorated with pictures of jazz legends, pastoral Western images, abstract paintings, the signature horn, and charts explaining beef cuts and level of doneness, as well as yellow lights, create a cozy space at LongHorn Steak & Pizza. 

Two friends, Pratik Asad, Director of Marketing and Md Mahdin Hasan, CEO of LongHorn Steak & Pizza, opened this boutique steak house in May 2019. The menu has been taken care of by Md Ramzan Ali, consultant, and founder chef, Grand Sultan Tea Resort & Golf.

LongHorn Steak & Pizza ensures quality— they do not use tasting salt or stale oil. All food is made fresh every day, including the sandwich bread. This also eliminates food wastage and leftovers. 

The restaurant boasts a diverse menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including steak, pizza, pasta, burger, sandwich, fish n’ chips, Nasi Goreng, and salads. The steak menu comprises of six unique steaks that come with two sides of own choice. Transcending the ordinary beef and chicken options, they have delectable salmon and turkey steaks as well. Duck items are also available seasonally.  

The rib-eye steak, served with creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and a delectable mushroom sauce, it is a wholesome meal. The doneness varies from rare, medium rare, medium and well done.

Nasi Goreng Udang is recommended— spicy fried rice topped with an egg served with chicken satay, crackers, king prawn and a succulent sambal that consists of a blend of 22 herbs. Everything in the plate sits in perfect harmony. From the pizza menu, Mexicana Hot Pizza is worth trying, with its thin crust pizza with luscious and stretchy cheese and flavourful jalapenos, olives, pepperoni, and bell peppers. 

Some of the items on the menu are just too pretty to eat, and the shrimp cocktail is the perfect example of that. Served cold in a cocktail glass, it consists of beautifully peeled shrimp with their tails hanging out and wedges of boiled eggs placed alternatively. It is drenched with a spicy, creamy sauce and lettuce for a zing of freshness.

Last but not least, a must-order item from their menu is the seafood salad. Crunchy, creamy, meaty; it has all the textures in one platter. It includes crab, shrimp and calamari, for the meaty texture. Cucumber, olive, bell pepper and tomato bring in the crunch and juiciness. Every mouthful will leave you craving for more. 

They also offer mocktails of unique blends. Kolaveri is a concoction of strawberry pulp, ranch lemon, fruit mix, and cola. Wildberry is a similar blend, with a zesty aftertaste, and the menu offers shakes, lemonade, and coffee.
