The Chiffon Story
So let's find out how we can also adopt the elegant yet theatrical chiffon in our daily wear.
First of all as hyper-feminine party dresses that make you look like Disney Princesses! However, a slight mismatch in overture can create total chaos in the overall appearance.
So, how do we keep tacky at bay?
We can easily deal with any sort of style malfunction with the chiffon by following the minimalist rule!
And what is that, you ask?
Keep your accessories as simple as possible and the makeup nude! You are sure to turn few heads in every social gathering draped in a chiffon suit.
When considering styling ideas, pastel and beige coloured saris in chiffon come to mind immediately after the silhouette complimenting princess gowns.
Saris in soft chiffon silk demand to be paired with simplicity! That means if you are wearing a peach or lavender shaded sari; compliment it with a light pink lipstick and a pearl necklace. Stone studded clutches and stilettos look exceptionally well with the chiffon sari as well.
If you are slightly confused regarding the hairstyle to follow; a simple bun, braid or just plain blow-dried hair looks classic with the chiffon.
Just make sure not to indulge in complicated hair styling or accessories!
To ladies who love to have kitty parties or high-tea mingling with friends and family, chiffon is a blessing in disguise. If you wanted to mimic British royalty and their sociable garden parties, be sure to wear a silk cape over the chiffon gown or sari. You can also match the cape with similar textured gloves.
Well, that's not the end to styling with chiffon. As we have another chic mode up our sleeves!
The last but not the least is the chiffon top paired with jeans or a plain cotton skirt. Unlike the sari and the gown, chiffon tops look good in every colour including blood reds and navy blue. But if you are wearing a deeper hue on the top, make sure to pair up with a lighter colour in the bottom to avoid looking bulky and cumbersome.
Given the soft texture of the chiffon, every style looks good in it.
So, if you were planning on trying-out the cold shoulders that has become so popular this season, please feel free to do so!
And do not miss out on experimenting further with flared sleeves, off shoulders, kimono, bishop or puffed sleeves. The main aim with a chiffon top is to highlight the texture and styling.
Finally, all we can say is let your imagination flow with the chiffon this summer.
We promise you won't regret it at all!
