Darkroom is the first television show on photography in Bangladesh. Photography has now been established as a mainstream profession in our country. Along with the professionals, many are attracted to photography as a hobby. Photographers of our nation have been awarded with prestigious national and international awards. Moreover, the popularity of smart phones has created further interest in photography among the mass. People are taking photographs and sharing them on social media. 

Considering all these inspiring things, ATN News had decided to come up with a television show on photography. Planned, edited and presented by renowned photographer Prito Reza and produced by Faruque Azam, Darkroom is broadcasted live every Thursday at 1.15am. Forty episodes of the show have already been aired. 

The show is set with a number of interesting segments. Portfolio of a renowned photographer and photography related quotes are presented in each show. Prito Reza discusses the odds and ends of photography. A photographer or a person related to photography is invited as guest in the show and discusses on photographic issues with the host. 

Viewers may participate and ask questions, take suggestions and discuss with the guest live through telephone and the Facebook page of Darkroom. Prito Reza also discusses about photographs sent by viewers and chooses a best photograph from those. The best photograph is published on Canvas, magazine partner of Darkroom. Radio Foorti is the radio partner of the show.
