Int'l Day of UN Peacekeepers today

The International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers will be observed today in the country and elsewhere across the globe in a befitting manner.
The United Nations will honour more than 100 Blue Helmets who lost their lives the previous year while serving the cause of peace.
The government has chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
The day's programme will begin with a “peacekeepers run” in the morning, an ISPR release said yesterday.

A reception to the close relatives of the fallen and injured Bangladeshi peacekeepers will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital around 3:00pm.
