Mushfiqur leaves practice after being hit on right hand

Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was hit by a ball while batting in the nets in Taunton and immediately walked away from practice to the dressing room.

The Tigers' senior middle order batsman immediately took off his right glove as he walked off and was looking at his right forearm. Bangladesh media manager Rabeed Imam informed that the injury was not serious. He was having the injury looked at in the dressing room by physio Thihan Chandramohan.

The Bangladesh team already have a few injury scares with Mohammad Saifuddin having some back trouble, skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza struggling with hamstring issues and Shakib Al Hasan sustaining a left thigh muscle strain during the World Cup match against England on June 8.

Bangladesh play their next match against West Indies in Taunton on Monday.
