Dengue fever: No death, 380 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least 380 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours until this morning.

With the new hospitalisations, the total number of dengue cases rose to 57,738, this year.

So far, 254 people died from dengue this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of them, 20,151 are from outside Dhaka.

Around 1,744 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of whom 763 are from outside Dhaka.

Experts have urged authorities concerned to conduct extensive drives identifying clusters of Aedes mosquitoes immediately.
