Dengue fever: 5 die, 796 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least five dengue patients died while 796 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning (November 8, 2022).

With the five new deaths, the total number of dengue deaths this year rose to 187.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new dengue cases the total number of dengue patients rose to 45,598.

Of the total deaths, 115 were from Dhaka, 23 were from Cox's Bazar, 20 from Chattogram, seven from Barishal, seven from Khulna, four from Mymensingh, two each from Rajshahi and Narail, and one each from Narsingdi, Pabna, Kushtia, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur, and Feni.

Some 3,144 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of which 1,229 are from outside Dhaka.
