Dengue fever: 5 deaths, 440 hospitalised in 24 hours

At least five dengue patients died while 440 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this (October 28, 2022) morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new cases the total number of dengue patients rose to 3,5262 of which 10,890 are outside of Dhaka.

With the new deaths, a total 128 people died from dengue fever this year.

Among the deaths, 73 were in Dhaka, 23 in Cox's Bazar, 14 in Chattogram, fi

ve each in Barishal and Khulna, three in Mymanshingh, two in Rajshahi and one each in Narsingdi, Narail, Bogura, Kishoreganj and Feni.

A total of 31,595 patients have already been released. Of them, 9,576 are from outside the capital.

Some 3,539 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 2,280 are from outside of Dhaka.
