Dengue fever: 4 die, 646 hospitalised in 24 hours
At least four dengue patients died while 646 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this morning.
With the new deaths, a total of 230 people died of dengue, while the total number of cases rose to 52,807 of which 18,736 were from outside of Dhaka.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), among the deaths, 137 were in Dhaka, 24 in Cox's Bazar, 31 in Chattogram, 10 in Barishal, seven in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.
A total of 50,099 patients have already been released, of them, 17,551 are from outside the capital.
Some 2,478 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of them, 1,092 are from outside of Dhaka.
