52 dengue patients hospitalised in 24hrs

At least 52 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours ending this morning.

Among them, 11 are from outside Dhaka.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue this year rose to 1,620, of whom 578 were from outside Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Some 178 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment. A total of 13 dengue patients have died so far this year.

At least 281 died of dengue last year while the number of cases was 62,382, of which 23,162 were outside Dhaka, according to the DGHS.
