Strict lockdown: 383 arrested today for defying rules in Dhaka
Police have arrested 383 people for defying Covid-19 restrictions and health guidelines in Dhaka on the second day of the two week-long "strict lockdown" today.
Iftekhairul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the information to media.
With the arrests, at least 786 people have been arrested in the capital since the lockdown started yesterday.
Besides, mobile courts fined 137 people Tk 95,230 today while DMP's traffic division fined 441 vehicles Tk 10,83,000.
