Record 26 deaths from Covid-19, symptoms in a day at 3 Bogura hospitals

Eight people died of Covid-19 and 18 with Covid-like symptoms at the Covid-19 units of three Bogura hospitals in 24 hours (till 8 am) today. This is the highest number of single-day Covid-19 related deaths in Bogura.

During this period, 345 samples were tested, and 144 were found positive for the virus. The current positivity rate stands at 41.73 percent, our correspondent reports, quoting Deputy Civil Surgeon, Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin.

In Bogura, at least 126 people have recovered during this period. There are 551 people currently admitted at three hospitals, with an overall caseload of 1,909 Covid-19 positive patients in the district, Mosafizur Rahman added.
