At least 884 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Bangladesh in 24 hours till 8am today.

With the new infections, the total number of Covid-19 cases rose to 20,00,279, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 9.81 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

A total of 9,010 samples were tested across the country during this period.

Six people died from Covid-19 during this period, said the press release.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,256 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 1,602 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,31,494 and the recovery rate at 96.56 percent, said the release.

Of the deceased, four were male and two were female.

Among them, one was between 21-30 years old, two were within 61-70, and the rest were between 71-100 years old, added the release.
