Light to moderate rain likely in Dhaka, other divisions: BMD

Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over the country.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office forecast for the 24 hours from 9:00am today.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the forecast said.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through India's Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extend up to North Bay.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature yesterday was recorded by 33.5 degree Celsius jointly at Sayedpur and Mongla while the lowest temperature today was recorded by 23.7 degree Celsius at Kutubdia.
Country's maximum rainfall for the 24 hours till 6:00am today was recorded at 158mm at Khepupara.
