‘Jongli’ earns over Tk 2cr in 16 Days

The Eid release "Jongli", starring Siam Ahmed, has emerged as a box office success, earning Tk 2.06 crore in gross ticket sales within 16 days of its release. Yesterday, director M Raahim shared the update via a Facebook post himself.
Since its release, "Jongli" has been well-received by audiences, prompting theatre owners to increase the number of screenings. The film has performed competitively alongside other Eid blockbusters like the Shakib Khan starrer "Borbaad" and Afran Nisho-led "Daagi".
In his post, M Raahim wrote, "Families are laughing and crying together while watching a Bangla cinema—while watching 'Jongli'. We believe this film will continue to touch thousands more."
M Raahim concluded his message with a note of gratitude: "Let this love continue forever."
The film features Siam Ahmed in multiple looks, with Prarthana Fardin Dighi and Shobnom Bubly playing key roles. The well-lauded soundtrack for the film was composed by Prince Mahmud.
