Genelia D’Souza making a comeback with Riteish Deshmukh project

Bollywood actress Genelia D'Souza and Ritesh Deshmukh are coming together for Marathi film "Ved". This film will mark Genelia's official debut in Marathi films, as well as Riteish' first venture into filmmaking.
Ritesh shared the first look of the film, and also announced the release date of the movie on Facebook yesterday.
"On the auspicious day of Diwali, I am extremely thrilled and happy to share the first look of my Directorial Marathi Film 'Ved'. The film will hit the theatres on December 30th and I ask all our fans to come and watch the film at the cinema hall," the post read.
The first look showcased Ritesh donning a rugged look, while Genelia looks pretty in the quintessential Indian attire. The poster exudes intense tension between the couple, as one can see them facing each other backwards.
Genelia also shared the poster and wrote the story about the posters in her mother tongue Marathi.
"I was born in Maharashtra, but never had the opportunity to star in Marathi movies. When I stormed off into acting, I did films in different languages including Hindi-Tamil-Telugu which got me lots of love and appreciation from the audiences. Fortunately, I am making my Marathi film debut with Ritesh's first directorial venture. Working in Marathi, I feel like I have come full circle," the post read.
Apart from "Ved", Genelia and Ritesh will also be seen in Bollywood film "Mister Mummy". Genelia will also be seen in Telugu-Kannada film, "Production No.15" soon.
