Enamul Haque was a true patriot: Asaduzzaman Noor
Today would have been the 79th birthday of renowned actor, playwright, academician and Ekushey Padak awardee Dr Enamul Haque. This is the first time his family and friends are commemorating the day without him. He passed away on October 11, last year.
On his birth anniversary, we spoke to legendary actor Asaduzzaman Noor to know about their friendship and more.
"Enamul Haque was emerged in the essence of our Liberation War. He was a believer in humanism, and lived his life on its terms," shares the "Kothau Keo Nei" famed actor. "He was a true patriot and never went astray from his principles."
The actors had worked together for years with their theatre troupe Nagorik Natya Sampradaya. "His artistic endeavours were true to his culture and art was his lifeline," he mentions. "We acted together on many occasions, and I was a fan of his writing. He loved to learn new things. Reading was his favourite pastime."
