Enamul Haque was the epitome of the perfect gentleman: Suborna Mustafa
Noted actress Suborna Mustafa has worked in numerous tele-fictions with the late actor, playwright, academician, and Ekushey Padak awardee Dr Enamul Haque.
In a conversation with The Daily Star, the renowned actress and MP reminisced the wonderful memories she shared with the "Ei Shob Din Ratri" actor.
"I am completely lost for words right now. I have been crying non-stop since I have heard about sir's death. I couldn't even imagine that he would leave us like that. If he was sick and I had the opportunity to treat him that would have been a blessing for me but I wasn't even able to do that as well. He didn't even let anyone do anything for him and left us all heartbroken," mentions Suborna.
The actress knew Dr Enamul Haque back from her childhood days as he used to work with her father actor Golam Mustafa. Later on, the veteran artiste also had the opportunity to work as a co-artiste with the actor across various serials and tele-fictions.
"It was such a wonderful experience to work with him. No amount of words can fully describe how big of an artiste he was and how he impacted the audiences with his impeccable performances," added the actress.
The "Ghuddi" actress reminisced how she acted in various tele-fictions with the "Onekdiner Ekdin" actor throughout the golden period of television and how everything has become but just memories right now.
"Enamul Haque was the epitome of a perfect gentleman in the showbiz industry. He was such a learned man and such a voracious person when it comes to studying books and gaining knowledge. He was wiser than anyone else and was a wonderful teacher," added the actress.
Suborna Mustafa also talked at length as to how he was also successful as a playwright.
"He was such a marvelous writer. All of his plays depicted the true virtues of the family, society, and a sense of belonging which was easily penned down by him in words," added the actress.
The veteran artiste also emphasised how the eminent actor never spoke loudly with anyone.
"I used to address him as 'sir'. He was and will always be my Enamul Haque sir. I truly respect him both as an artiste and as a persona. His benevolence cannot be described in words as he never shouted or spoke in a loud voice towards anyone," added the actress.
"I really don't know how his family would be able to get over this grief of losing over such a wonderful person. My deepest sympathy and prayers for his wife noted actress Lucky Enam his two daughters, Hridi Haq and Proitee Haq. Hridi's husband, Litu Anam, and Proitee's husband, Shazu Khadem.
Suborna Mustafa ended the conversation by hoping for solace of his departed soul and that he rests in peace.
